Hello! I'm Wizard, known on the discord server as @Lemonade#1622. I'm interested in the development of memes as an art form, in how it fairly closely mimics many events in art history. Fairly recently, we saw a revival (renaissance) of more classical memes like troll face and rage comics in a new, recontextualised context. I'm interested in philosophy, history, culture, and art, and especially how they interact.
It appears this forum is dead at the moment, which is sad! I hope some new activity might revive it.
I get most of my memes from shitpost subreddits on reddit or twitter accounts.
I have a certain specific love for 2014-2017 era surreal memes, a lá Special Meme Fresh and so on.
